Released worldwide later this year, Starfield players can take to the stars five days early thanks to an expensive early access mode.
The upcoming action RPG by Bethesda is set to be released on September 6, 2023. With the company previously releasing the likes of Skyrim, it is a highly anticipated release to say the least.
Now, in good news for some and bad for others, it has been announced that you can get your hands on Starfield a whole five days before release. Here’s how.
Starfield Early Access
With some games offering early access in the forms of closed and open beta, Bethesda is offering it through a different method.
For players who have preordered the Starfield Constellation Edition or the Premium Edition, you will automatically be able to log in to the game on September 1.

However, with the Constellation Edition being £250/$300 and the Premium Edition being £100/$100 approximately, early access is pay-to-enter. Additionally, the cheapest method would be upgrading your Standard edition to the Premium Edition for an extra £34.99/$34.99.
As you can see, Bethesda has made Starfield Early Access available as an exclusive pre-order bonus. As a result, it is doubtful it will become available any other way in the future.
An Xbox Game Pass Catch
It’s not all doom and gloom however. According to Game Rant, if you are planning on playing Starfield via Xbox Game Pass, you can buy the Premium Edition Upgrade to access it early.
By doing this, you will be able to get early access to the game without forking out a bunch of money for the special editions.
So there you have it! Starfield will be released on September 6 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
