Steve From Minecraft – Everything You Need To Know

Steve from Minecraft is probably one of the most recognisable mascots in all of gaming, but people don’t really know a lot about him. Sonic has his speed and a bad attitude, Mario has massive jump energy and a questionable addiction to mushrooms, but what’s Steve all about?

Steve From Minecraft – Everything You Need To Know

The turquoise t-shirt and jeans combo is always going to ignite fond Steve memories from all areas of the Minecraft fandom, but what are his origins?

As one of the earliest Minecraft characters, he was introduced as a mob character that lacked a solid animation and just moved around. The pre-classic re-1323328 Java Minecraft build would see Steve dominate a player’s screen as multiple mob participants, all spawning simultaneously.

This version of Steve was named simply “Humans” though, but we all know it was the big man himself. Due to having no animations, he didn’t have any weapons or any attack movements either. He simply ran into players to cause damage.
