Stray Is Finally Coming To Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S

For those who missed out on Stray, it has been announced it will finally be making its way to Xbox. Here’s everything we know.

First launched in July 2022, Stray stole everybody’s hearts by allowing players to take on the role of a lone cat on an adventure through a dystopian city. Published by AnnaPurna (no pun intended) Interactive, the single-player adventure game released on PlayStation and PC.

Now almost a year later, it looks like Stray will be arriving to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in the future.

Stray Is Finally Coming To Xbox – Everything We Know

This news comes courtesy of Twitter user @MACOS380 who spotted that the game had been awarded a new Xbox rating by the European Software Rating Board (ESRB).

The screenshot shows that Stray has been rated as E for Everyone 10+. This rating by the ESRB takes into account the features such as animated blood and fantasy violence.

“Players sometimes encounter parasitic blobs/mice-like bots that can attack and kill the cat. Players can access a UV light to defeat the mice-like bots, causing them to explode and emit splashes of coloured liquid,” the rating states.

Another PlayStation (Non) Exclusive

Despite originally being released as a PlayStation exclusive, it looks like Stray is joining a long list of games making the leap to other platforms. With the title receiving rave reviews however, the news is perhaps unsurprising.

Although we are yet to receive a release date, it is worth noting that PlayStation exclusives usually have a year of exclusivity. Considering Stray was first released last July, we can perhaps expect to see it arrive on Xbox in the next couple of months. However, this is merely speculation.

We will be sure to follow up on this story as it develops.
