Street Fighter 6 Celebrates Two Million Units Sold By Rewarding Players In-Game Gifts

To celebrate Street Fighter 6 hitting two million copies sold, Capcom are thanking fans by rewarding them some in-game gifts.

Despite releasing just over a month ago, Capcom has revealed that Street Fighter 6 has hit a big sales milestone. With the brawler hitting one million units sold in its opening weekend, it has managed to hit another million during the last four weeks.

Street Fighter 6 In-Game Gifts

To thank players for their continued support, the team is giving away some in-game gifts as asmall token of appreciation.”

These include an ID Card photo mode frame as well as a Street Fighter 6 logo background for your in-game smart device.

All you have to do to redeem these gifts is log into the game!

A Somewhat Successful Sequel

Although sales have slowed down over the past month, as can be expected, this is still a momentous occasion for the team.

In comparison, the previous instalment Street Fighter 5 managed to sell 7.2 million units in total so it will be no surprise if the latest game performs just as well.

At the time of writing, the latest Street Fighter instalment sits at a 6.2 user score on Metacritic as a result of some mixed reviews.

Some players are unhappy with the game’s use of microtransactions in order to access new costumes and colours. However, others praise its very fun and modern gameplay as well as being newcomer friendly.

A New Fighter

The first of Street Fighter 6’s new characters are set to arrive later this month on July 24. This includes Rashid who previously appeared in Street Fighter 5.

Described as a “laid-back, Middle Eastern fighter with an affinity for the latest technology” will make him a great asset to the ever-growing roster.

Rashid will be free to unlock for owners of the game’s Deluxe and Ultimate Editions as well as those with year one character passes. For those without any of these, you can try-before-you-buy using the battle pass Rental Ticket.
