2018 was a fantastic year for Nintendo with some of the best games for the Nintendo Switch launching across the twelve months, and according to NPD analyst Mat Piscatella, the Switch was actually the best-selling console of the year!
Piscatella has stated that not only is the console’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate the fifth best-selling physical game of 2018, but also that the Switch was “the year’s best-selling hardware platform in both units and dollars.”

The console also had “the highest December month hardware dollar sales for a single platform since the Nintendo Wii in December 2009, and achieved the highest December unit sales for a single platform since December 2010.”
A round of applause for Nintendo, please!

The Switch has officially had the best annual hardware performance for a home console since the PlayStation 4 launched way back in 2015.
The proverbial ‘console wars’ are pretty much tied between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, with people rarely giving the likes of Nintendo a second thought.
The gaming giants of Microsoft and Sony are often credited for releasing highly-powerful consoles that dominate the market, but the fastest selling console of this generation isn’t either of them.

A lot of my coworkers are bashing me for enjoying my Nintendo Switch as my most preferred console in this generation. I love my Nintendo Switch and I’m not alone. A lot of issues arise to the fact that theres no voice chat or great system sellers and thats just not true.
