The Flash series has finally been cancelled

The long running superhero show, The Flash, has finally been cancelled by The CW, and it’ll end in 2023.

The Flash is a DC show created by The CW. It’s based on the iconic superhero, and first aired back in 2014. It follows Barry Allen, a forensic investigator in Central City who gains the power of super speed, becoming The Flash.

It’s been going for a long time, but it’s finally coming to a close with its ninth season. The final season will air in 2023 and run for 13 episodes.

So many amazing people have given their talents, time, and love to bring this wonderful show to life each week. So, as we get ready to honor the show’s incredible legacy with our exciting final chapter, I want to say thank you to our phenomenal cast, writers, producers, and crew over the years who helped make The Flash such an unforgettable experience for audiences around the world.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as the titular character, not to be confused with Ezra Miller’s version of the character from the upcoming 2023 movie. The Flash show also stars Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Brandon McKnight and Kayla Compton.

Despite being cancelled by The CW, The Flash has had an extremely good run over the years. It’s one of their longest-running shows ever, and one of their most-watched. Season 8 of the show was one of The CW’s most popular shows in recent years, averaging above 1 million viewers.

We’ll have to wait and see how they close out the series in 2023.
