Multiple The Last of Us remake scenes have leaked once again ahead of its launch next month. So be warned, spoilers are ahead.

The Last of Us: Part 1 is a remake of the original game that was released for PS3 in 2013 and then for PS4 in 2014. The remake looks to be pretty much a shot-for-shot recreation of the original game.

The remake is looking visually impressive

The Last of Us: Part 1, at least visually, looks to be on par with The Last of Us: Part 2 which was released for PS4 in 2020. Only this time, it won’t be hindered by last-gen technology with added ray-tracing technology and performance.

The Last of Us: Part 1 might have a review embargo of August 31st, however, that hasn’t stopped multiple videos leaking from the remake over the last several weeks. I would assume at this point; I doubt they’ll be the last of them either.

Beware of spoilers!

Naturally, the video below will feature spoilers from the story, some of which are heavy moments. That being said, if you’ve already finished The Last of Us before, you won’t have anything to worry about.

However, just a heads up, the leaked footage does feature three scenes from the game. One involves a heated discussion between Ellie and Joel, another with Joel and his brother Tommy.

Finally, another moment features two brothers that Ellie and Joel meet on their way to the Fireflies, which happens to be one of the most memorable moments from the game.

Furthermore, please keep in mind that considering the video below features leaked scenes, it is likely that Sony and Naughty Dog will remove them at some point soon.

We got a new look at the HBO adaptation

Speaking of leaked footage, a scene featuring Ellie and Joel above was also included in a recent “Coming to HBO Max” trailer giving us the best look yet at The Last of Us TV series adaptation so far.

The Last of Us remake will release for PS5 on September 2nd, and then for PC at a later date. The Last of Us Part 1 is available to pre-order from the GameByte Shop for £63.95.
