The Sims 4 Adds Baby Yoda, And No It’s Not A Mod

The Sims 4 has added a very special friend in the latest game patch: the one and only Baby Yoda made famous by Disney+ Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.

Excitingly, this Baby Yoda – sorry, ‘The Child Statue’ – is an official Sims in-game item, and not a fan-made mod or Create-A-Sim item.

Found in the game’s Build and Buy mode, The Child Statue bears the following item description: “This statue is a lovable replica inspired by the Disney+ live action series, The Mandalorian.”

Aint he’s a cutie!

Naturally the internet is loving the latest addition to the ever-expanding Sims world, even if he doesn’t really do too much as an item. (He does add Environment +1, but that’s really neither here nor there).

Here’s Sims Baby Yoda on TikTok:

And here’s a fan-made Baby Yoda shrine:

Here’s someone’s take on making a more interactive Baby Yoda for your Sims to play around with. Yes, this thing is pretty terrifying and yes it looks a little more like Harry Potter’s Dobby, but it could make an interesting Let’s Play if you give him some evil traits.

The Sims isn’t the only game to add in Baby Yoda, as one Star Wars and Minecraft fan is working out a way to introduce the lil sprog into the block-filled world.

Over on Reddit, a user by the name of Miles_Playz_on_YT (who surprisingly is also a YouTuber) has created a Baby Yoda in Minecraft, and soon he’ll be available for all of us to download and play with. Hooray!

Sharing a video of the success to Reddit’s r/minecraft sub, Miles_Playz_on_YT writes: “I Made Baby Yoda in Minecraft (Download Coming Soon) NO MODS, NO RESOURCE PACK.”
