This Forza Horizon 5 Controller Design Looks Utterly Stunning

If you’re a fan of extravagant controller designs, then you’re in luck. Forza Horizon 5 is getting its own branded Xbox controller design, and it looks incredible.

Forza Horizon 5 is set to release on November 5th later this year, and it’s shaping up to be a stunner. Set in Mexico this time around, the absurd racer is really taking advantage of the power of new-gen consoles. All of the cars are rendered in stunning detail, as is the world that you’ll be sliding and crashing through – not much time is spent driving in a straight line in Horizon games.

If you’re stepping behind the steering wheel this November, you’ll want a suitable controller to keep you company. An official Forza Horizon 5 themed design is releasing alongside the game, and it might be my favourite new controller design yet.

Forget your standard all-in-one colour designs, this one has a striking yellow body that’s also translucent. You can see the inner workings of the controller, just like those old aftermarket designs for the PlayStation 2. Splashed across the body of the controller are turquoise and pink accents that add some tasteful detail to the pad.

The blue and pink colours are also found on the two thumbsticks and the triggers. They alternate, too, so one stick and trigger is pink while the other pair are blue. It’s rounded out with a clean white D-Pad with the colour also extending to the bumpers and the rear of the controller.

A Splash of Colour

Until now, we’ve only seen Xbox controllers in single block colours. While these look good, they don’t have a patch on this gorgeous custom design. The translucent body means that you can see the rumble motors through the device’s material. Those motors will likely get a lot of use in a game like Forza Horizon 5, so it’ll be wicked to see those spin up when you inevitably go flying off the road.

The custom design isn’t that much more expensive than a normal pad, either. A standard Xbox Series X|S controller goes for £55.95, whereas the Forza Horizon 5 edition runs for £64.99. They’re available to pre-order on the Microsoft Store and will release on November 9th, just a few days after the game releases.
