Beloved indie series To The Moon is set to get what’s expected to be its final instalment in Imposter Factory. Releasing later this year, Imposter Factory is set to turn the series on its head with murder, mystery and…long cats?
To The Moon is one of the most memorable interactive experiences out there, and you’ve probably seen gamers including the likes of PewDiePie sobbing their hearts out to it across the internet. TTM was followed up with Finding Paradise, with its third part, Imposter Factory, coming soon.
The next addition to the series isn’t what you might expect though, with the game’s Steam page teasing that we’ll be seeing some utter madness when the game drops.
The story will follow Quincy who finds himself at a fancy and secluded mansion which just so happens to have a time machine inside. Using the machine causes lots of people to die, and as developer Freebird Games puts it: “somewhere along the way, things get a little Lovecraftian and tentacles are involved.”
Key features include the following:
- A story that will make you curse at the screen
- A cozy mix between adventure game elements and classic RPG aesthetics
- Dialogues that read so wrong but feel so right
- An espresso execution with zero filler and no time drains
- long cat
Honestly, I have no idea what to expect from Imposter Factory, but I’m more than a little excited to find out more about it. You can keep tabs on the story – and wishlist the game – over on Steam here. Meanwhile, a new trailer just dropped. Check it out below.
Imposter Factory is due to launch sometime later this year (though I’d take this with a pinch of salt since y’know. 2020 and all).
