A datamine of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 demo has allegedly revealed that veteran rocker Jack Black is likely to be a playable character when the game launches next month.
The news comes from Reddit, where a leaked image found in the game files shows a character with more than just a passing resemblance Jack Black. Check it out below.

Disclaimer here that this is yet to be verified by Activision or the man himself, so take it with a pinch of salt as always. However, I have no other explanation for what the above image could be for…
It makes total sense that J-bles would have a role in the upcoming remake, as the first time the world got to see the game in action was when himself and Tony Hawk played the demo. The video was shared to Jack Black’s YouTube channel, Jablinski Games, and quickly amassed a lot of attention.

In the video, Tony Hawk also took the time to share a lovely story with the Black family. In the video, he tells young Tommy and Sammy Black: “The very first time I saw your dad perform with Tenacious D, he did a thing between songs where he said ‘you know, life on the road is really hard. You’re in the back of the bus, playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and you hit bumps, and then you lose your high score.’”

Everything we’ve seen of the game so far looks top-notch, and it’s going to be incredible to see just how a AAA game of 2020 can recreate some of the best moments of our childhoods.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2 is due to launch on September 4 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
