Today’s Call Of Duty Update Brings In Fan-Favourite Game Mode

It’s another day ending in “Y,” which means it’s time to pick through another new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its free-to-play Battle Royale counterpart, Warzone. New game updates have been landing every Tuesday, and it’s given players a lot to get excited about. This time around is no different, as a classic CoD mode is headed to Modern Warfare. (Note: this update seems to mainly focus on MW, not Warzone).

Longstanding fans of the franchise will recognise Demolition, a mode which was featured in both MW2 and Black Ops. It will go live in 2019’s Modern Warfare today, and will see your team have to either place or defuse a bomb while the opposing team is tasked with whichever of those you’re not doing.

Just because you defuse the bomb doesn’t mean the round is over, and respawning is allowed. It’s going to be a lot of frantic fun, and fans of the franchise will be glad to see the return of the much-loved Demolition mode. Available maps include Hackney Yard, Rust, and Shoot House.

Meanwhile, 3v3 Gunfight Knives Out is available across all platforms, and a new Operator, new playlist modes and some extra cosmetics will all be added.

On the official Activision blog, the Operator is described as follows: “Iskra, an Urzikstani native, returns to Verdansk with the Chimera Faction to stop the growing Al-Qatala threat. Available in a Store bundle, get Iskra alongside two new Legendary weapons that seamlessly provide a lethal loadout for Warzone and Multiplayer. Iskra’s bundle also includes the ‘Savagery’ helicopter vehicle skin, an Epic Finishing Move, and more for a total of ten items befitting a Tier One Operator.”
