President Donald Trump is no stranger to the call of social media, and he’s almost definitely the most Twitter-heavy POTUS the world has ever seen.
However, it’s emerged that Trump is expanding his social media network by securing himself a Twitch channel that – unfortunately – isn’t called Trump Does Twitch.
Instead the channel is simply “donaldtrump,” but don’t expect any Let’s Plays, Twitch Reacts or accidental nudity (though I’m personally pretty thankful that the latter almost definitely won’t happen). Instead, the channel has been secured as a part of his re-election strategy.
As of the time of writing, the channel is currently just serving as a big reminder of his upcoming rally in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There’s also a place where you can donate to the campaign.
Trump is somewhat of a controversial figure in the universe right now, and setting up a Twitch channel with an active chat box might not turn out to be the best idea.
While researching this article the chat box started out pretty silent, until someone decided to write: “whenever i receive a hundred dollar bill i sniff it because, according to math, there’s a high chance that each hundred dollar bill i get was touched by trump’s hands and there’s also a small chance he scratched his bottom before he touched the bill.”
Despite no-one responding to the comment, the user then added: “So that means when i sniff those bills there’s a good chance i’ve had the pleasure of inhaling daddy donald’s derriere and nobody can take that away from me uwu.”
Over on Twitter, people aren’t too happy about the news. One user said: “I’ve taken a firm anti-gatekeeper stance my whole life, but if there’s any person we should all agree is not a Gamer, it’s Donald Trump. Shame on you, Mr. President, for trying to co-opt our movement by starting a Twitch account. Twitch belongs to the Gamers and so does America.”
Twitch.tv/donaldtrump is clearly off to a good start…
