Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has made no secret of its throwback content, and it looks like even more nostalgia is coming our way. Thanks to the recent launch of the game’s second season of content, data miners have uncovered another two classic CoD maps from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The leak comes from Reddit, and as always, take it with a pinch of salt. (Even though the maps have been found in the game files, they could be leftover content that’s since been scrapped).
The news comes from Redditor and Call of Duty fan, evilonyx, who shared an image of what appears to be CoD 4’s iconic maps, Killhouse and Broadcast.
As a refresher, Killhouse is the teeny-tiny map that’s about the same size as Shipment. It’s an absolute classic, appearing not only in CoD 4, but also CoD: Mobile and CoD Online. Thanks to its size, it offers seriously brutal and fast-paced matches.
On the flip side, Broadcast is a lot bigger, offering a lot of long-range scoping opportunities as well as lots of close-combat spaces. Again, this is one of the most classic maps from the franchise.
It’s not known when the maps will be live in Modern Warfare (if ever), but here’s hoping they’ll be making it into play sooner rather than later!
Modern Warfare’s latest content update has thrown even more fun into the mix, and with the rumoured Battle Royale mode expected to drop in the coming weeks, there’s never been a better time to jump right back into the fray.
Activision says of Season Two: “Season Two of Modern Warfare returns Ghost to the firefight and brings more Multiplayer experiences through maps, modes, and an all-new Battle Pass.
“Plus earn rewards to climb through the Season Two Ranks with more ribbons to earn, new challenges to complete, and new missions for both Multiplayer and Special Ops.”
