Ubisoft has shut down online services for over 90 games for PC, PlayStation 3 as well as Xbox 360. Trophy and Achievement Hunters, look away!
While many of the Ubisoft titles impacted by online services being shut down are single player, it could have an implication on Trophies/Achievements associated with online play. After all, with the servers being closed, there’s no viable way to earn online multiplayer rewards.
This means that not only will online multiplayer be inaccessible, but even online player statistics will be disabled. Furthermore, Ubisoft Connect services such as Units and Challenges will be no more.

No rewards for you!
Oddly, the Ubisoft blog post states that while Rewards can still be unlocked, we will not be able to receive them in-game. Which is just strange. It’s kind of like saying: “Hey, look what you’ve won! But you can’t have it!”
Amongst the multiplayer games impacted includes the likes of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, as well as multiple Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell titles.
To be fair, most of the titles impacted are over a decade old, so servers being shut down should come as no surprise. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that some games on the list are backwards compatible on Xbox One and Series X|S.
