‘Unannounced Project’ By Ubisoft Launches New Assassin’s Creed Game Speculation

Ubisoft recently took it upon themselves to create a flood of rumors by launching a mysterious and elusive job post looking for a developer to work on a ‘unannounced project.’

The job in question is a business operations manager for Ubisoft Reflections, who are a subsidiary studio that focuses on:

“Technical innpvation, creating immersive worlds and vehicle & driving technology.”

The person they are looking for to manage this new job role must be:

“Leading a team of monetisation, data analysts and digital store operators for an unnannounced project”

It is unclear as of yet what role Ubisoft Reflections will be playing in the actual project. They may be leading the charge in the development process much like Amtomega, or they could just be assisting in the production of a larger scale game much like they did when they were producing Far Cry 5.

A recent statement from Ubisoft described how the company was shifting things around the shake-up their editorial structure:

There are strong rumors circulating that a new Assassin’s Creed game may be in the works. It has been previously reported by several media outlets that, whilst the game has not been officially announced, that the development process is in its advanced staged and progress is indeed being made.

Reflections tend to steer themselves away from the Assassin’s Creed style games and more than typically focus on those titles with a more modern feel to them. Guns and vehicle focused gameplay seem to be their forte rather than the rather slower-paced and historically aligned style of play. But, after the success of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, fans are obviously clamoring for more Ubisoft adventures – so it would not be a total surprise to see the studio exploring as many avenues as possible to achieve this.
