CD Projekt Red is on the cusp of what could be one of the greatest games of all time with Cyberpunk 2077, and there’s just one thing everyone wants to know – when the heck will we be able to play it?!
The 48-minute-long gameplay reveal showcased last year left us all gagging for the open-world dystopian RPG, but it’s been pretty quiet since then.

Well, unfortunately it looks like we won’t be expecting it anytime soon as it sounds like it’s still pretty deeply in the developmental process.
In a recent video (which you can watch below), CD Projekt Red gave a brief statement to say that Cyberpunk 2077 will be “Coming: When It’s Ready” [via GameRant].

Although it’s frustrating to play the waiting game, Cyberpunk has some huge boots to fill and players want nothing less than the best for the upcoming title.
CD Projekt Red has made no secret of drawing inspiration from some of the biggest games of the past few months, including the likes of Rockstar Games’ iconic Red Dead Redemption 2.
And don’t forget, CD Projekt Red’s previous games include the multi-award-winning The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is heart-stoppingly fantastic.

However, there’s been some recent shakeups in the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 that could hint towards its development stage.
Earlier this year, creative Director for the game, Sebastian Stepien, revealed via his LinkedIn profile that he’d taken on a new role – at Blizzard.

Just a few weeks ago it was announced that Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director of The Witcher 3, reportedly signed up to work on Cyberpunk.
It would be an interesting move for Stepien to move over to Blizzard if the game was next to completion…right? And how does Tomaszkiewicz fit into all this?
What we do know for sure is that Cyberpunk will be making an appearance at this year’s E3 later this year. Maybe we’ll get a release date then?
