Upcoming horror game, Remothered: Broken Porcelain, has officially been delayed. Originally scheduled to launch in August, the title has now been pushed to October, which is arguably a spookier month anyway.

In a statement, developer Stormind Games thanked fans for their patience.
“After much consideration, we’ve reached a decision with the team at Stormind Games to delay Remothered: Broken Porcelain’s release until Oct. 20 of this year. We are incredibly excited to invite players into this wonderfully realized chapter of the Remothered story, but it’s important that we deliver the experience fans deserve. Having additional time for polish and to accommodate unanticipated longer timeframes due to the current global situation will help us do exactly that.

“We cannot thank the fans of Remothered enough for their patience and the passionate enthusiasm they’ve shared for Remothered: Broken Porcelain, and we look forward to seeing their reactions when they play the game later this year.”
The highly-anticipated horror is the sequel to 2017’s Remothered: Tortmented Fathers, a game which was praised for its old-school survival horror elements.
Earlier this year, GameByte was treated to an exclusive preview of the game, presented by producer Antonio Cutrona, where we got to talk all things classic horror.

“We are referring to Broken Porcelain (and Remothered in general) as that sort of ‘new classic survival horror game,’” laughed Antonio at the time. “We want to keep the classic aspects and those kind of common mechanics that can be found in all horror and survival horror games. But at the same time, we don’t want to feel like [we’re] doing – I don’t know how to say it – B games?
“Some kind of innovation is [needed], and we, for the most part, we implement that using some new tech features, but also upgrading the way that the player can interact with the environments…being the game that is it, the old school aspect is maintained.”
Broken Porcelain will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch on October 20.
