A very, very expensive Resident Evil Village Collector’s Edition, which includes a replica of Chris Redfield’s jacket, will cost you at least £1120 (approximately $1500).
The jacket is an exact wearable replica and it does look very snazzy, but it’s definitely not cheap.

With such a high price point, it’s important to note that this version of the Resident Evil Village Collector’s Edition includes a lot more than just a jacket.
So what does this edition include? Well for starters there are two versions which both include the jacket, one pricier than the other.
The “Normal Software Version” comes with the stylish Chris Redfield jacket, a standard copy of Resident Evil Village and two other items that are also exclusive to the Japanese Capcom store. The “Normal Software Version” is the one priced at ¥169, 620 (£1120/$1500).

The other two items included are an awesome “Village of Shadows” art book. The book is inspired by the fairytales that we see Mia Winters reading to her daughter during the Resident Evil Village gameplay videos. The other item is a set of 1/6 scale equipment miniatures.
The pricier version is the “Complete Set” which includes all the items in the Normal Software Version, but the standard copy of the game is replaced by the Collector’s Edition (see image below for the contents of that). The Complete Set will knock you back ¥192,500, which works out to be around £1355/$1855.

Both these editions are exclusive to the Japanese Capcom store and if you’re in a position to spend this amount of money, fair play, because I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t do the same if I could.
This is not the first time that Resident Evil has had lavish collector editions on the Japanese Capcom store.
The Resident Evil 2 remake had a Premium Edition which came with a bluetooth keyboard inspired by the in-game typewriter, and four masking tapes disguised as Ink Ribbons.

The Premium Edition which sold at ¥109,780 with tax (£770) also came with the RE2 Collector’s Edition which featured the Leon S. Kennedy statue.
So the question remains, are you going to be importing the Resident Evil Village Collector’s Edition? Would you go for the snazzy Chris Redfield jacket or will you just buy a cheaper jacket that looks almost identical? Let us know across our social media channels.
Resident Evil Village will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on May 7th.
