Xbox Series X Apparently Has ‘Two Secret Exclusives’ Coming in 2021

According to recent rumours, Microsoft has two secret exclusive games coming to Xbox Series X|S this year.

As reported by The Gamer, tech blogger and editor Jez Corden claimed in a recent episode of The Xbox Two podcast that he has insider knowledge on the matter.

During the podcast, Corden says he knows of “at least two games, big games, that aren’t on that list that are coming from Xbox in 2021.

The Gamer also reports something similar from Xbox’s Narrative Director, Dave Morgan. Morgan claimed during the same podcast that Xbox Series X|S has “exciting new AAA titles” that are “yet to be announced”, referring to the secret exclusives.

I think whatever side of the console war you fight for, very few will likely dispute that PlayStation has led the way for console exclusives with titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 2 and Bloodborne to name but a few.

Microsoft, however, can’t really boast of the same outside of franchises like Halo.

This is why over the last couple of years Microsoft has been acquiring companies such as ZeniMax, Ninja Theory, Obsidian Entertainment and more – to create first-party exclusives for Xbox.

When the Xbox Series X|S launched November 10th 2020 it oddly released without any exclusives. Halo Infinite was supposed to be that one big launch title, but was instead delayed to this year.

The first proper big exclusive to release for the Xbox Series X|S will be the upcoming psychological horror The Medium from Bloober Team (by the way, keep a look out for our review of The Medium coming soon).

In the coming years we do know that some of the Xbox Series X|S exclusives include the likes of Fable, Avowed, Senua’s Sage: Hellblade II and the aforementioned Halo Infinite, none of which have confirmed release dates.

So what could these two secret and unannounced exclusives be? Could one be the rumoured Fallout: New Vegas 2?  It’s possible now that Microsoft not only owns Bethesda but also Obsidian Entertainment, the developers of the first Fallout: New Vegas!

We’d love to hear your speculation across our social media channels.
