Watch 37 Minutes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, taking players to a Britain during the Viking era. It’s brutal, it’s bloody and it shows a lot of promise. It’s moving away from what it started life as in 2007 and embracing the world of action RPGs even more.

Think of it as Assassin’s Creed meets God of War meets The Witcher if you’re the kind of person that loves comparing things to other things. It’s a game that is a lot of fun to play. One that is hard to judge by just the videos you see.

However, it would be foolish to not look at any videos of the game. Recently GameByte, along with FragHero, got to play a few hours of the game and both teams had some interesting observations and a nice selection of gameplay to show off.

FragHero’s preview dives into the nitty gritty of the game, showing off a variety of bits and pieces you can expect to see when you boot up the game on November 17th. It shows off rivers, the countryside, fighting and more.

GameByte’s video dives into one particular part of the game. The assault on Burgh Castle. An adrenaline fuelled section of the game where you must fight through various sections of the stronghold before getting to a boss fight.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Stadia. Although it releases on November 17th we don’t know for sure how it will be releasing on next gen, as we don’t yet know when those consoles are releasing. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag was one of my favourite games in the first year on the PlayStation 4. Here’s hoping Valhalla can do the same!
