Ubisoft likes to tease us all with its cryptic clues and hints about its future games, and one of the ones it’s been hanging over us for quite a while now is the setting of Watch Dogs 3.
Fans of the Watch Dog games have been speculating about a UK setting for the next game for a while now, but it seems as though Kotaku is now reporting that as fact.
According to a report from the publication, Watch Dogs 3 will definitely be set in London.
London makes a lot of sense for the next stop in the series, as the second instalment in the franchise ended with a few references to Brixton, London (at least, the ending does include these now thanks to a patch).
Over on ResetEra the idea of a UK-based Watch Dogs has caught the attention of gamers, especially when it comes to the weapons in the game.
It’s definitely not easy to get hold of a gun in the UK, and if someone went on an all-out shooting spree in the country’s capital city…well, let’s just say it wouldn’t go unnoticed.
Watch Dogs 3 isn’t the only upcoming Ubisoft title that’s gotten fans curious.
Although there’s been plenty of rumours about where the next new Assassin’s Creed game might be set, it looks like one gamer has found what could be a very telling Easter egg in another Ubisoft game…
A player of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 seems to have spied what could be a very interesting Easter egg in the game, as it seems to suggest that the next Assassin’s Creed is taking place in the era of Vikings, which would definitely be up a lot of people’s alleys.
PCGamesN reports that an AC forum post seemingly shows a character from The Division 2 looking at a poster of a man dressed in a red and white cloak, with a helmet, tunic, spear and a mysterious orb-like thing. The text on the poster says ‘Valhalla,’ meaning the Viking afterlife.
What do you think about the rumours?
