Netflix’s The Witcher is set to be one of the biggest shows of the year, and since we got our first look at the series earlier this summer it’s only made us more eager for its release.
Thankfully, Netflix is being pretty good at delivering what we need, and a brand-new trailer for The Witcher has surfaced online.

Shared to YouTube by the Italian branch of Netflix, the new teaser trailer shows a lot of the clips we saw in the previous trailer, inter-spliced with a few new snippets that have definitely caught our attention.

Just last month a deleted tweet seemingly revealed the exact release date for the series, which is expected to be releasing this December.
As reported by Redanian Intelligence [via VG24/7], the ‘mistake’ was spotted on the official Netflix Netherlands Twitter and Facebook channels – before disappearing shortly afterwards.

The announcements shared on the pages suggested the show will be launching on the streaming platform, December 17, 2019.
The post, which hasn’t been confirmed or denied by Netflix, lists a countdown of series and movies dropping on the platform throughout the rest of 2019.
The tweet, posted on September 11, states that there’s “97 sleeps” left until the release of The Witcher, putting the launch date for the adaptation at December 17.

Whether or not there’s any truth to the rumour we’ll have to wait and see, but we do know the show is expected to be available at the end of the year, so the timing does make sense.
The upcoming show’s official premise reads: “Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.
“But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”
