World of Warcraft Classic Players Are Waiting In Line To Finish Quests

Players of World of Warcraft Classic are having to form orderly queues and wait in line in order to finish their quests, in what could be the most British thing in video game history.

WoW Classic is finally up and running, and the back-to-basics OG WoW is naturally getting a lot of attention from longstanding fans of the franchise. The MMO is truly being tested by the overwhelming number of players, leading to “hour-long queues” to get a place on the servers [via GamesRadar].

Unfortunately for WoW fans, once you’re on the server there’s then even more queues to complete quests, making WoW Classic the closest thing to Disneyworld right now.

Amused gamers have taken to social media to share screenshots of their miseries, and it’s pretty funny stuff.

One player tweeted: “When the community comes together in organisation in #WoWClassic and forms a formal queue for a rare creature kill. THIS IS GLORIOUS XD”

Over on Reddit people have been complaining of the long wait times, with one user claiming the estimated wait period was 550 minutes just to get onto the server.

Blizzard states of the game: “World of Warcraft Classic is a faithful recreation of the original World of Warcraft. Combat mechanics, original character models, and skill trees all contribute to a truly authentic experience.”

Access to WoW Classic is included in and available to all players with an active World of Warcraft subscription

If you want to try your luck you can try and snag a place to play over on the official World of Warcraft Classic website. Just make sure you don’t have any plans for the next 600 hours…
