In a bid to give aid to the people of Ukraine, World of Warcraft is offering players the chance to buy two new pets with proceeds going to charity.
In a collaboration with BlueCheck, World of Warcraft are giving you the opportunity to adopt two adorable critters – Sunny the Golden Retriever and Flurky, a baby murloc who carries around the national flower of Ukraine, the sunflower.
World of Warcraft & BlueCheck
BlueCheck is a charity co-founded by X-Men actor Liev Schreiber with aims to provide medical and humanitarian resources to Ukraine. Additionally, the charity delivers financial aid to other humanitarian organisations working within the country.
Now the charity will team up with the much-loved MMORPG courtesy of an incentive presented by actress and American-Ukranian actress, Mila Kunis.
This limited-time incentive could see you walk away with two new pets to join you on your WoW adventures. They will also be shared across all your characters.
How To Get Involved
The World of Warcraft Pet Pack will be available from Tuesday July 25 to Tuesday August 29. It will cost £18/$20 and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to BlueCheck courtesy of Blizzard.
“The people of Ukraine are in desperate need and BlueCheck does incredible work in providing resources quickly to local groups, including medical assistance, humanitarian aid, and everything in between,” says Kunis.
“The World of Warcraft community is the first gaming community I was ever a part of, with strangers who didn’t care who or what I was – I know how giving they can be, and what they can achieve when we work together. I’m proud to be making a difference to countless lives in Ukraine alongside them.”
Additionally, during the limited period, players can also make a separate donation to BlueCheck if they purchase anything on Battle.net. For those who are just interested in the Pet Pack, you can buy it here.
