Xbox Finally Adds Feature That’s Been On PlayStation For Ages

Microsoft has just announced that the Xbox will be getting a much-desired feature that PlayStation has supported for absolutely ages.

Yes, the highly-requested keyboard and mouse support is about to be enabled for Xbox One, according to a statement from the company.

It seems Xbox really has put a lot of thought into the idea though, and it’s fully backed and supported by none other than Razer.

In the official statement Xbox confirms: “While most wired or wireless USB keyboards and mice will work on Xbox One, we know access to best-in-class hardware is a must.

“That’s why we’re partnering with a premiere peripheral manufacturer in the gaming hardware space – Razer – to bring you the best possible mouse and keyboard experience for this new functionality.

“We’ll have more to share soon on this partnership, but for now check out Razer’s website and our Xbox Twitter and Facebook pages for a sneak peek.

“We’ve been working closely with studios of all sizes to ensure mouse and keyboard experiences on console are fun, fair and correctly balanced, and look forward to introducing more games with support for mouse and keyboard input in the future.”

There’s always a bit of controversy when it comes to keyboard and mouse players using consoles as their chosen platform.

It’s been argued that a keyboard and mouse set-up is much easier and more efficient than a standard console controller, causing some people to call the use of them unfair – especially in multiplayer games like Fortnite.

It seems Xbox is trying to combat this unbalancing though, stating it wants to work to “ensure an optimal and fair gaming experience” for all.

What do you think about the news? Will you be using your keyboard and mouse on your Xbox One?
