You Can Now Buy Gaming Beds And They’re Not Just For ‘Lazy’ Gamers

If you’re like me then sometimes it’s just too difficult to decide between sleeping and gaming (also eating, but that’s another story). Thankfully for us, Japan has us covered, as company Bauhutte has unveiled a range of gaming beds.

The set-up allows for full reclining and is completely customisable to suit your needs, as all the components are purchased separately.

On the Bauhutte website, the description for this particular set-up reads as follows [translated via Google Translate]: “An eternal dream desk for all gamers. It is a game that everyone longs for a long time. With the long monitor arm, which features a long arm, and the reclining function of the gaming chair, the desk can be raised and lowered to create the best sleeping position.

“By adding an L-shaped desk and keyboard slider, you can operate comfortably while sleeping. Recommended layout for RPG solo gamers who often play at their own pace.”

The rig has cooked up a storm on Twitter, with gamers across the world clamouring for their own sleep-dedicated gaming unit.

Bauhutte explains that this particular layout was designed for “Those who yearn for a high-spec desk environment like a cockpit,” “Heavy gamers who spend 80% of their lives on games” and/or “People who have difficulty sitting at a PC desk for a long time.”

As one Twitter user added: “Honestly this could be useful for people that have no choice but to be in bed for medical reasons. Especially if there’s a way to convert it for typical office use.”

There’s a full article on how Bauhutte recommends you create your set-up, entitled “How to build a desk with a PC for 100,000 yen while you can sleep while sleeping.” God bless Google Translate.

There’s also a handy video, which you can watch in all its glory below.
