YouTuber and Game Critic Totalbiscuit Dies at age 33

John Peter Bain was diagnosed with cancer all the way back in 2014. This then went into remission only to return some time later and had then spread to his spine and to his liver. He announced his retirement from being a Games critic earlier this month.

At the time he announced his retirement he also stated that his liver was failing and and the chemotherapy wasn’t working. He said he had planned to keep making videos and streaming in the form of co-op games that he could play with his wife. He also stated he liked the idea that his wife would take over his channel when he was gone.

“I fully expect The Co-optional Podcast to go on and I love the thought that once I’m gone, the channels will go on in my absence, hosted by the person who knows me best and has been with me for the better part of my adult life” Bain said.

Totalbiscuit was loved for his ‘cynical Brit’ attitude and willingness to call out games that some other critics maybe wouldn’t. His Twitter posted this late last night.

His wife also left a touching tribute on her Twitter as well.

“It’s been a privilege,”
