A recent mix-up has caused Zack Snyder’s Justice League flick to debut early after it was uploaded in place of Tom & Jerry: The Movie.

Fans of the iconic cat and mouse act were somewhat shocked earlier week. Upon logging in to stream the new slapstick comedy, users found that they had access to the upcoming DC four-hour epic.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League isn’t due out until the 18th of March, meaning the film has leaked ten days earlier than planned. It’s needless to say that many fans jumped on the opportunity to watch the movie early.

The error has since been resolved, but it appears that the damage may have already been done. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that it could access the stream thanks to the blunder, along with various other online viewers.

Spoilers are unlikely to be an issue, especially since the Synder cut is essentially a reworking of the previously-released Justice League film. That being said, for fans of the DC Universe, there could be some significant changes detailed online before the film’s official release later this month.

More importantly, what about Tom & Jerry: The Movie? Well, thankfully, viewers can now tune in to the domestic duo’s grand return on HBO Max. The live-action comedy stars Chloe Grace Moretz and marks the cat and mouse’s first time on the big screen.

The original Tom & Jerry show wrapped up all the way back in 1956, with spin-off series’ surviving until as late as 2008. The show has a fascinating history regarding cartoon violence, with critics claiming that the show could be inappropriate for kids.

Perhaps we’ll see some sort of Tom & Jerry DC crossover in the future. Personally, I don’t think Superman would stand a chance against having a piano dropped on his head.
