Zack Snyder’s Oscar Wins Were Reportedly ‘Rigged By Bots’

According to reports, the fan-voted Oscar wins for Zack Snyder movies Justice League and Army of the Dead may have been rigged.

As reported by The Wrap, the 2021 and 2022 Fan Favourite Movie awards went to the Snyder movies in question, respectively. The two wins apparently took many by surprise with the likes of Spider-Man: No Way Home expected to claim an award.

Personally, I like both Zack Snyder’s Justice League and for what it’s worth, Army of the Dead. However, I must admit that the two Oscar wins also took me by surprise.

Unholy votes Batman!

The Wrap claims both Oscar Awards for the Snyder movies were rigged by automated online accounts. Apparently, a social media tool called Tweetbinder states that the most active voters for the two awards in question were from automated web programs that created fake votes.

Furthermore, as reported by Screen Rant, David Kirsch, a professor at the University of Maryland also has doubts concerning the validity of the votes. The professor claims that the votes “certainly do not look like they were generated by a human user,” wow!

At the time of writing, the Academy Awards are yet to comment on the allegations. That being said, what are your thoughts on the reports that the Oscar wins for Zack Snyder have been rigged? Let us know across our social media channels.
