The Legend of Zelda games are each their own masterpiece, giving rich and unparalleled worlds, stories, extra quests and optional collectables. All of the canon Zelda games are pretty huge in their own right, and 100%-ing any of them is definitely an achievement. But 100% completion for all of them? That’s…colossal.
A Zelda fan by the name of MC recently undertook and completing the challenge, getting a 100% completion on every canon Zelda game in a total of 484 hours.
To give you an idea of scale, he collected 900 Korok Seeds, completed 120 shrines, discovered 226 locations, filled in all 385 entries of the Hyrule Compendium and completed 76 side quests in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild alone.
The games MC 100%-ed including a lot more than just BOTW though, as the full list also includes Tri-Force Heroes, A Link Between Worlds, Skyward Sword (Hero Mode), Spirit Tracks, Phantom Hourglass, Twilight Princess HD, The Minish Cap, Four Swords Adventures’, The Wind Waker HD, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Majora’s Mask 3D, Ocarina of Time 3D: Master Quest, Link’s Awakening DX, A Link to the Past, Zelda II: The Adventures of Link and – of course – The Legend of Zelda.
You can check out MC’s spreadsheet of what he classes as 100% right here.
Celebrating his achievement on a Reddit AMA, MC answered questions from fans of his stream and from those eager to find out more about the process.
When asked which of the games gave him the most fun on the 100% journey, MC replied: “Absolutely, without a doubt, Breath of the Wild. It was my first time doing 100% in that game, and even during the Koroks, which were a bit slow, I was having a great time.
“I’m going to be making a video soon talking about why I think this game is so amazing, and how it makes even mundane tasks like Korok collection so fun.
“Spoiler: It’s because the world is so fun to jump around in.”
