While the world still waits for the upcoming PlayStation 5 to get a price point, the folks at high-end online boutique Truly Exquisite have confirmed the cost of its 24K gold plated console range.
Revealed earlier this year, the company will be shipping various luxury editions of the PS5, including a disc-less edition, each coated in either gold or rose gold, depending on your aesthetic.
If you were hoping that the Truly Exquisite consoles might hint towards the potential price of a, um, “normal” PS5, you’re out of luck, as predictably these luxury consoles don’t come cheap.
The 24K Gold Digital PS5 will set you back £7999 GBP, or $10.4K USD.
Meanwhile, the Platinum Digital PS5 will cost £8199 GBP. A Rose Gold regular PS5 is retailing for the same price of £8199, or $10.6K USD.
PS5 controllers and PS5 headsets can also be purchased to match the console of your choice.
The range, called the “Special Limited Luxury Edition PS5,” is definitely very blingy, as is the whole of the Truly Exquisite website, where you can cover everything from your iPhone to your sneakers in gold. More than likely, we’ll see some TikTok influencers or YouTube royalty with at least one piece from the collection once it’s dropped.
If you happen to be a fan of the style (and if you happen to have a spare $10k lying around), you can pre-order the console and accessories of your choice from Truly Exquisite, starting September 10. Despite being a UK retailer, the company actually ships worldwide, so there’s some luck for you there.
As for the cost of the regular PlayStation 5 and its disc-less little brother, we’re still in the dark on that one. We’re now into September, and with the consoles launching this holiday, expect a price reveal in the coming weeks!
