Hemsworth might be best known for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right now, but he’s throwing his hat into the ring to take on Hogan’s life in a Netflix biopic [via Hollywood Reporter].
The movie will also feature the talents of Todd Phillips, director of The Hangover, and Scott Silver, the writer of 8 Mile. Interestingly, the project is set to be produced by Bradley Cooper.

Although he’s a little bit of a meme now, Hogan is still one of the most recognisable faces in wrestling. His career took off in the 1970s, and he’s since appeared outside of the wrestling scene in movies, video games and television shows.
As for Hemsworth’s casting, I can’t really say he looks too much like Hulk Hogan.

You: Chris Hemsworth will—
Me: ?
You: —be starring in a film where he plays famous wrestler/infamous n——r hater Hulk Hogan. This movie will be produced by Bradley Cooper, whose eyes are too big for his head & who won’t stop crying about being “snubbed” for Best Director.

I only support this announcement if it’s leading up to a signing ceremony where Chris Hemsworth will pause dramatically over the contract before ripping it up and powerbombing Hulk Hogan into the table. https://t.co/rnDOEKUiEi
