PlayStation Hosting New State Of Play Later This Week

We now have information of when the next PlayStation State of Play will occur, and it’ll be very soon!

Sony has revealed a special State of Play based around Gran Turismo 7 will take place on Wednesday, February 2nd. The presentation will show new footage of the game and some gameplay details. This happens ahead of the game’s release on March 4th, 2022.

WHERE TO WATCH STATE OF PLAY

The Gran Turismo 7 State of Play will take place Wednesday, February 2nd at 2PM Pacific time. For UK viewers, that translates to 10PM GMT. So be sure to check this out in your jammies before heading to bed.

Gran Turismo 7 is the next racing sim from Sony and Polyphony Digital. It’ll be the first main entry to the series since 2017, and the first numbered game since 2013. On PS5, the game will take advantage of SSD loading speeds, ray traced lighting and DualSense controller capabilities. It’ll also run at 4K and 60FPS.

WILL ANYTHING ELSE BE SHOWN?

State of Play is a digital event held by Sony every so often that features an upcoming look at new games in development for PlayStation. They sometimes include trailers and reveals for multiple games, but will occasionally devote one stream to a single game like this. So I wouldn’t count on seeing Horizon Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarok footage.

Gran Turismo 7 is due to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on March 4th, 2022.
