A Zelda Fan Has Created A Hyrule Google Maps Hybrid

Google Maps has become a friend to many worldly explorers. However, now you can utilise the power of the navigation system to explore Hyrule, thanks to a savvy fan. Let’s check out the Zelda: Breath of the Wild edition of Google Maps!

Created by Nassim’s Software, the map allows players to reference the world of Breath of the Wild in the same manner as Google Maps. That means that would-be explorers can utilise markers and even view a panoramic “street view” of Hyrule. According to Nassim’s most recent video, the creator stitched together multiple screenshots from the Wii U version of the game. The result? An uncanny version of Google’s GPS services.

So, why might players benefit from a Zelda version of Google Maps? Well, Breath of the Wild’s version of Hyrule is the biggest version of the fantasy world yet. Therefore, the map could allow players to uncover interesting locations before setting off on an in-game journey.

If you fancy giving Nassim’s Breath of the Wild street view a try, head over to the creators GitHub page. You can also learn more about the project on the creator’s YouTube channel. Nassim has also said they’re planning on working on similar projects in the future, so perhaps your favourite Zelda game will be given the Google Maps treatment next!
