Age of Empires 4 Season 1 is just around the corner, and it looks like players will have plenty of new content to look forward to.
Season 1 of Age of Empires 4 is called the “Festival of Ages”, and the content includes features like ranked seasons, seasonal events, and modding support. It also comes with major balance changes and plenty of quality-of-life tweaks.

AGE OF EMPIRES 4 SEASON 1 – WHAT’S THAT ALL ABOUT?
What’s particularly exciting about this update is it includes the content editor, which allows players to create their own map to play in-game. Previous games in the series had this feature, but it was sadly missing from the final product in Age of Empires 4 when I reviewed it last Autumn.
Meanwhile, Age of Empires has also launched a content roadmap for everything to look forward to throughout 2022. Season 2, slated to come later in the year, will feature fully remappable hotkeys, a player colour picker, map vote system and more improvements across the board.
