Alan Wake 2 is one of the most anticipated upcoming game releases. If recent comments are to be believed, we won’t have to wait much longer.
First announced during The Game Awards 2021, Alan Wake 2 is the sequel to the survival horror game with the same name. Despite no release date as of yet, this might have just changed thanks to the game’s voice actor.
Alan Wake 2 May Release This October
Matthew Porretta appeared on the Youtube podcast Monsters, Madness, and Magic over the weekend. It was here he let slip that Alan Wake 2 is “supposed to come out in October.”
“I’ve been working on it,” Porretta said, when asked about the horror sequel. “That’s supposed to come out in October. We’re in the middle of working on it now.”
Although this is by no means a direct confirmation, we have to admit that he is still a reliable source. Additionally, an October release date would make sense with the game having themes of horror. It could definitely be the perfect Halloween game.
However, Remedy is yet to confirm this news at the time of writing.
A Halloween Release
As for Remedy, they spoke about the project back in February. It was here they announced their plans to have all content for the game in place “soon.”
With Porretta revealing that he was recently in Finland working on the game, this may be the content they were referring to.

For now, we will have to wait a bit longer to get our hands on the sequel when it releases for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
However, with Remedy CEO Tera Virtala claiming that the title “is on its way to becoming a great game and has everyone excited at Remedy”, it’s hard not to be excited.
