If you grew up in the 90s there’s a good chance you were aware of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, and the rest of the Animaniacs. The Warner Brothers (and Warner Sister) would annoy, entertain and educate an entire generation with their high-intensity wacky ways.
Along the way, the cast of Animaniacs appeared in video games, comic books, and even a feature film. They left their mark on the world of Western animation and still get quoted to this day.
“If only they would come back!” I hear you cry. Well wipe away those tears because I’ve got good news for you.
Animaniacs is coming back
That’s right. Animaniacs is making a comeback thanks to Hulu. The streaming giant has snapped up the show for a 13 episode revival and you can watch the trailer below.
The official synopsis from Hulu says:
“They’re back! The Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister Dot, have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. After returning to their beloved home, the Warner Bros. water tower, the siblings waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio, turning the world into their personal playground. Joining Yakko, Wakko and Dot, fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain also return to continue their quest for world domination.”
Although there’s no confirmation of other characters just yet we’re optimistic that the likes of Slappy Squirrel, The Goodfeathers and Buttons, and Mindy return. Near the end of the trailer, a clip does show Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear, and Boo-Boo, which might hint at some fun crossover moments too with other cartoons!
When and where Can I watch new Animaniacs
You’ll be able to watch Animaniacs on Hulu from the 20th November. Will it be available in other countries that don’t have Hulu? That’s yet to be seen but we’re optimistic. We need that zany lot back in our lives!
If you can’t wait until November 20th though you can watch another clip below!
