If you fancy an artsy day out, head to the Saatchi Gallery in London where you can see a massive Halo inspired painting.
Halo in general is more photorealistic than it is stylised these days. But the art direction has always been an impressive aspect of the series. The titular Halos for one are always a sight to behold. And the colourful, luscious landscapes contrasted against the monolithic alien structures are always a visual feast.
Artist Iva Troj has managed to capture the beauty of the Halo series with a massive painting currently hanging in the Saatchi gallery. The painting really is big, at 20 feet in length and 10 feet tall. It was made as part of celebrating the launch of Halo Infinite.

“I consequently spent a long time immersing myself in Halo’s universe to bring this to life in the manner of an old master but depicting a modern battle, and I hope Halo fans and gamers everywhere enjoy the results–including those smaller Easter eggs that you might not notice at first glance,” Troj said in a press release.
The painting also apparently required a combination of digital and traditional techniques. If you wish that you could have the art as a wallpaper, then you’re in luck. The painting is available to download in a variety of sizes, all the way up to glorious 4K.
The campaign for Halo Infinite is finally out now too. In our review of the campaign, we found that the open world structure didn’t quite work for Halo, but it still had its shining moments.
