Ubisoft has finally confirmed what has been rumoured for many months now – a remaster of Assassin’s Creed III. This Assassin’s Creed is set in the American Revolutionary war and is of course set in an open world where you can explore and hunt down all those wrong-doers at your own pace. Although this isn’t a fan favourite AC game it is by no means a flop. The game sold over 3.5 million units in its first week and had sold 7 million copies by December 2012. The game was released only 2 months earlier in October.
The game is being remastered and brought to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The release date is 29th March – you won’t be waiting long to get your hands on the game!
The remaster will feature 4k and HDR visuals along with new hi resolution textures in a new graphics engine. There have also been a lot of improvements to the mechanics and controls for the game. Some old Assassin’s Creed games can feel clunky and hard to control so this should help make AC III like a more recent game.
How good will the game look? We can’t say exactly as Ubisoft hasn’t released any footage or even screenshots for the upcoming game. We should be seeing some soon though as the release date isn’t far away!
If you purchase the remastered version you will also get all the DLC that came with the original game. Not only that you will also get a full remaster of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, which was originally only released for the PlayStation Vita. A nice little outcome for all AC fans who didn’t own a Vita back in the day.
I love assassins creed 3 I figured it was coming after the ezio collection and the triple pack released shit I wouldn't be suprised if they did a remaster for the first game too
