Assassin’s Creed Jade Teaser Shows An Ancient China Setting

With Assassin’s Creed in the spotlight right now, Ubisoft are continuing the hype by releasing a teaser image for their Codename Jade project.

Last week saw Ubisoft reveal the release trailer for their next Assassin’s Creed game Mirage. With an October launch, we got to see a gameplay trailer and meet our protagonist Basim who will operate in ninth century Baghdad.

However, there are still many AC projects upcoming. This includes Codename Red, Codename Hexe and Codename Jade. The latter is what we have received a new teaser for.

Assassin’s Creed Jade Teaser Shows An Ancient Chinese Setting

Assassin’s Creed Jade was first teased last year with a trailer that showed it would take place in Ancient China. The reveal showed the typical AC eagle soaring over a settlement but since then we haven’t heard anything, until now.

“Step out of the shadows and into a vast world of ancient China,” the announcement reveals.

The Tweet shows what looks like an assassin flanked by an army of terracotta soldiers. The Terracotta Army would make sense in the Ancient China setting. However, that is all we are going to get until the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event.

The Ubisoft Forward is bound to feature all new AC news when it airs on June 12 at 10:00 AM PDT / 7:00 PM CEST.

Codename Jade Won’t Be Available On Console

It has been revealed that Codename Jade is set to be a mobile release and therefore won’t be coming to console. Although this is sad news, it still looks to be an exciting instalment in the AC franchise.
