Assassin’s Creed Producer Teases New Game With PlayStation

Jade Raymond, the producer behind the original Assassin’s Creed games, has teased her new studio’s upcoming game for PlayStation. And it will be the first ever terabyte videogame!

Haven Entertainment Studios is an indie studio based in Montreal, and it’s dedicated to producing games for PlayStation. Now Raymond has teased that her team are working on a ‘terabyte’ game for PlayStation, according to reporting in Game Spot.

Here she is speaking at GI Live London:

This is likely to be the first ever ‘terabyte’ game – referring to the size of the data files for the game. Raymond addresses this huge technical challenge:

“What does it mean to support the first terabyte game? What does it mean to support this level of data? All of these things that we learnt to make game streaming of this generation possible, are interesting to reach the next level of quality”

Using streaming to augment the native game files on your console, the game will be able to be huge, rich and detailed.  We don’t know what the game’s story or theme will be, but Raymond seems keen to create a world which gamers will want to keep returning to – like the Assassin’s Creed series. She said she hopes the game’s world will: “last for generations and become meaningful for people on a deeper level.”
