Although nothing has yet been confirmed by Ubisoft, it’s seeming more and more obvious that the next addition to the Assassin’s Creed series will be AC: Ragnarok. It’s been claimed by a number of industry insiders that this is the case, and we’ve even seen a retail listing for the upcoming game.
A brand-new supposed leak has now surfaced online, and it claims that Ragnarok is set to blow our socks off with the biggest open world in the franchise to date.
The leak, which originally cropped up on 4Chan, has been shared to Reddit and it’s VERY detailed. Of course, we don’t know if it’s legit or not, so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
Also, potential spoilers lie ahead. You have been warned.
The leak claims that Ragnarok is due to be announced by Ubisoft in February, during the next PlayStation event. It’s apparently in development for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
The user writes that the game will support “up to 4 player drop in drop out co-op like Ghost Recon Wildlands.” Players will have a choice of gender for the playable character, who’s named Jora.
The leak goes on to claim the game “continues heavy RPG mechanics, now including different classes and mild skill tree changes based on class. Player class can be changed by a specific character.”
Honestly, there’s a lot to unpack here, including combat changes, weapon upgrades, weapon durability, a “beserker” mode, new parkour, stealth improvements, a reputation system, and raids.
Very, very interestingly, the leak also adds: “The map is massive. Like all of northern Europe. My source mentioned big cities being York, London, Paris, and Kiev. Every kingdom was meant to be really unique.”
You can check out the Reddit post in full right here, but again, be wary of spoilers!
It’s believed that Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok will be dropping in September 2020.
