The next big update for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla goes live today and it adds more cats to the game! Oh, also a new festival and other stuff.

The new update comes in at 15.85GB (PC), 12.6GB (PS4), 12.28 (PS5), 12.81GB (Xbox One) and 17.97GB on Xbox Series X|S.
As seen in the huge patch notes via Ubisoft, the update states that, “There will now be more cats throughout England.” Puuuuuurrrfect!
So other than more cats in England, what else does this new update bring? Well as it happens it brings a whole host of added content including the new Ostara Festival.
The Ostara Festival will begin on March 18th and will run until April 8th.
Much like the previous Yule Festival, there will be new side-activities, new rewards to unlock and it will even feature an Easter Egg hunt!
While details are currently vague on the Ostara Festival, Ubisoft has promised that all will be revealed this Thursday on March 18th when the event kicks off.

The update will make a number of gameplay improvements such as the Close Camera Option, which can be toggled on/off via the gameplay menu.
The Close Camera option will allow the player to have a camera that can zoom in for close inspection during gameplay but will automatically zoom out during combat.
The update will also bring three new skills for Eivor such as the Fearless Leaper, which “when activated, the leap attack damage has a larger area of effect and can be done at any height.”

The other two skills are Raven’s Loot which allows your raven to gather loot from enemies with ranged attacks, and finally, the Loot Food, which as you can guess, increases the chances of looting food from dead bodies. Nice.
As well as all the above, the update will make loads of improvements, bug fixes, and gameplay tweaks. You can check out the full patch notes here.
In our review of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla we said: “It’s fun, it’s vast and it continues to give players the freedom to do pretty much whatever they want to do in the game.”
