Bethesda Is ‘Randomly Choosing Players’ For The Fallout 76 Beta

One of the highlights of E3 this year was – of course- Fallout 76 and fans can’t wait to get their hands on the game.

The full release isn’t due for another few months, but if you absolutely cannot wait then we have some details on the upcoming beta, though it might be tricky to get yourself access.

A tonne of info has cropped up on Bethesda.net, where a post from community admin Jurassica reads: “It’s been very fun seeing everyone’s discussion on Fallout 76 and what your hopes and thoughts are about the game.

“I and members of the studio regularly lurk, and it’s been great to read through your questions and feedback. With that in mind, we know you’re anxious to learn more about the game and more specifically, about the B.E.T.A.

“Starting in October we’ll be selecting people who have pre-ordered the game from a participating retailer to enter our B.E.T.A.”

The beta (or B.E.T.A as it’s being called) will come first to Xbox One users, followed by PS4 and PC gamers, mean you might be in with a chance of beta access first if you’ve pre-ordered your copy on Xbox.

To get access you have to have pre-ordered the game from either PlayStation, Xbox One or Bethesda online to be automatically registered. For other retailers, a code should be supplied with your receipt or purchase details, and can be redeemed on the Bethesda website.

Once redeemed, you’ll be entered into a pool of beta testers to be randomly selected for access.

Jurassica continued: “We’ll start small and grow over time as we prepare for launch. Be sure you’ve read our F.A.Q, for details on how to redeem your B.E.T.A. code and other important details.”

You can read the FAQ in full here, and although it’s not giving us all the info we want, it’s definitely a starting point for Fallout fans.

Jurassica goes on to clarify that “everyone who pre-orders at a participating retailer will be included in the B.E.T.A.”

Fallout 76 will be released on November 14th, 2018.
