The setting and location of the long-awaited Dragon Age 4 has reportedly been confirmed by an official BioWare book.

Eurogamer’s Tom Philips identified that Tevinter is the likely setting for the upcoming RPG, as discovered within an official BioWare book.
“BioWare: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development” celebrates the company’s 25th anniversary. The book also happens to contain an entry titled “Tevinter Bound: A sneak peek at the follow-up to Inquisition” [via PCGamer].
The page says the following: “As BioWare entered its twenty-fifth year, the Dragon Age team was hard at work on Morrison, the code name of the long-awaited follow-up to Dragon Age: Inquisition.
“The Game, helmed by executive producer Mark Darrah, will take players to Tevinter as the events of Inquisition and Trespasser threaten to forever change Thedas.”

Despite the fact that Mark Darrah left BioWare at the end of 2020, it seems like the original plan for Dragon Age 4 might still be in motion. Sure, things could change after a shift in leadership, but it feels like a lot of the narrative pillars of this sequel have long been established.
The book also includes artwork that seems to show the capital region of Antiva City, found on the eastern border of Tevinter.
Other images are said to be of places like Nevarra and Rivain. This likely suggests that our adventurer is going to be trotting across the map in this upcoming quest.

Sadly, the book doesn’t give us any clues as to to Dragon Age 4’s release date. EA has previously alluded to the game releasing at some point in 2022, though with the current global situation, this is subject to change.
For now we can only piece together whatever information we can find. Even if it means buying fancy hardback books!
Are you looking forward to Dragon Age 4, and do you think Tevinter is the right location for the new title?
