Blizzard Announces It’s Working On More Than One Diablo Game

Blizzard is undeniably one of gaming’s most prolific giants and it’s just been announced that Diablo III isn’t the end of the road for the wildly successful Diablo franchise.

In a recent video, Community Manager Brandy Camel has confirmed there are actually “multiple Diablo projects” in the works and there’s apparently something going to shown or announced this year! Hooray!

If we are getting info on a new Diablo project in the next few months, a safe bet would say it’ll be happening at this year’s BlizzCon, which is happening on the 2nd November 2018. It definitely wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a massive announcement at the event after all…

Could this mean a Diablo IV is on the way? Maybe, but if there’s multiple projects, we could also be looking at general game updates, mobile ports or potentially remakes or remasters of earlier games in the Diablo franchise. If we do get a newer version of the original 1990s game it’s going to make a lot of fans very, very happy!

The information comes from a video tweeted by the official Diablo Twitter page, which you can watch in full below.

What would you like to see most?

The original Diablo first released way back in December 1996, and the RPG hack-and-slash title has developed a huge following of devoted fans.

When Diablo III launched in May of 2012 it quickly rose to popularity, and it’s still one of the best-selling PC games of all time.

The game is now on well into its 14th season – which is the game’s first themed season, and you can read all about on the Blizzard website here.

What are you hoping for from a new Diablo project? Diablo for the Nintendo Switch? Mobile? Or do you have your fingers crossed for a brand spanking new fourth Diablo game?
