Bluepoint Games, developer of the recently-releases Demon’s Souls remake, could be hinting that another classic is going to receive a remake.
Bluepoint Games sent the rumour mill spinning into a frenzy after tweeting a very interesting message to its fans – one that has gotten many gamers very excited at the prospect of a returning classic.
“A symphony of rumors…” said Bluepoint Games in a tweet this week, with many speculating this could mean a remaster or remake of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
While it might seem far-fetched, this is not the first time that Bluepoint Games has highlighted the word “symphony,” as revealed in the tweet made on Halloween last year.
“So calm this spooky night. A symphony of rumors – not one, but two – return from shadow” tweeted the Demons Souls developer in 2019.
The most natural assumption is that Bluepoint Games might be teasing a remake of original PlayStation classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
The tweet made on Halloween last year can be considered as the most blatant yet, as it not only features the word “symphony,” but it also includes a swarm of what looks like vampire bats with a blood moon silhouette.
In response to the tweets made by Bluepoint Games one follower said: “If these mfs are teasing a Symphony of the Night remake I may just lose it.”
However looking at the tweet made on Halloween, some fans are even speculating that Bluepoint Games might be teasing something Syphon Filter related, which was originally developed by Bend Studio, the team behind PS4 exclusive Days Gone.
Extracted from the Halloween tweet, part of the message says to “escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections.”
In response to last year’s tweet, a follower replied: “if you remake the first three syphon filter I’ll probably die.”
Of course all these tweets could mean absolutely nothing and Bluepoint Games could just be yanking our chains for the fun of it.
However at this stage Bluepoint Games is turning into the masters of renovation for Sony, having already worked on the God of War Collection and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection remasters on PS3.
This was followed up with the critically-acclaimed remakes of Shadow the Colossus on PS4 in 2018, and of course the Demon’s Souls remake for PS5 this year.
