It seems like only yesterday that the next addition to the Borderlands franchise was announced, but it seems that Borderlands 3 has officially already gone gold.
Sharing the news on Twitter, the official account for developer Gearbox wrote: “We are pleased to announce that #Borderlands3 has gone GOLD! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen! We’ll see you September 13th Vault Hunters!”

Now that the game is officially complete and ready to go, its release is looking more exciting than ever.
Borderlands 3 promises “bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure,” as you play as one of four brand-new Vault Hunters.

The game’s description reads as follows: “Blast your way through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization.
“Play solo or join with friends to take on insane enemies, collect loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.”

This time around you’ll be taking on the Calypso Twins, and you’ll be able to travel to new realms outside of Pandora as you go on your lootin’ and shootin’ quests.
Borderlands 3 will support online play as well as split-screen co-op “regardless of your level or mission progress,” but enjoy your own rewards without having to share the winnings.
As you’ve probably guess by now, the ESRB has rated the game as ‘M’ for Mature thanks to violence, references to sex and NSFW language.
Borderlands 3 releases September 13, 2019, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and as an Epic Store exclusive.
