The first details on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer mode have been officially revealed by Activision.

The multiplayer was shown off in all its glory in a brand new trailer. Check it out in the video below!

If the final product comes even close to how this trailer looks, then we’re definitely in a treat with Black Ops Cold War! At the time of writing, the Black Ops multiplayer show is still live – check it out here.
The upcoming title, which is due to land later this year, has been hit with a number of leaks – some of which confirmed snippets of what we now know to be true about the next Call of Duty.
In case you missed it, Black Ops Cold War will take place in the early 1980s during – you guessed it – the Cold War. The Cold War was a tense time in history when World War 3 was expected to happen at any moment, as two titans refused to play their hands when it came to their nuclear weapons. Nuclear war may not have happened in real life, but who knows what might happen in Call of Duty.

Unlike Black Ops 4, Cold War will have a single player campaign along with its multiplayer. You’ll be chasing down a mysterious character named Perseus, who’s set to change the course of history. The game has been confirmed to be a direct sequel to the very first Call of Duty Black Ops game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is due to release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 13 2020. Next-gen versions of the game will be announced presumably when the consoles themselves get launch dates (the Xbox Series X is now confirmed to be releasing November 10, but Sony is yet to reveal the release date of the PlayStation 5).
